Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as “these Terms”) establish the conditions for using the services (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”) provided on this website, BillMates. All users (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) must use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Application

These Terms apply to all relationships between Users and the Service regarding the use of the Service.

Prohibited Activities

Users must not engage in the following activities while using the Service:

  • Actions that violate laws or public order and morals
  • Actions related to criminal activities
  • Actions that destroy or interfere with the functions of the Service's servers or networks
  • Actions that may disrupt the operation of the Service
  • Collecting or storing personal information of other Users
  • Impersonating other Users
  • Providing benefits directly or indirectly to antisocial forces in connection with the Service
  • Any other actions deemed inappropriate by the Service

Suspension of Service

The Service may suspend or interrupt part or all of its services without prior notice to Users in the following cases:

  • When maintenance or updates of the computer system related to the Service are conducted
  • When the provision of the Service becomes difficult due to force majeure events such as earthquakes, lightning, fires, power outages, or natural disasters
  • When computers or communication lines fail due to an accident
  • When the Service determines that providing the Service has become difficult

The Service bears no responsibility for any disadvantages or damages suffered by Users or third parties due to the suspension or interruption of the Service.

Usage Restrictions

The Service may, without prior notice, restrict a User's access to part or all of the Service or revoke a User's registration in the following cases:

  • If the User violates any provision of these Terms
  • If the Service determines that the User's use of the Service is inappropriate

The Service bears no responsibility for any damages incurred by Users due to actions taken under this section.

Changes to the Service

The Service may change the content of the Service or discontinue its provision without notifying Users and bears no responsibility for any damages incurred by Users due to these changes.

Modification of Terms

The Service may modify these Terms at any time without notifying Users if it deems it necessary.

Prohibition of Transfer of Rights and Obligations

Users may not transfer or offer as collateral their contractual position, rights, or obligations under these Terms to any third party without prior written consent from the Service.

Disclaimer

The Service shall not be liable in the following cases:

  • Any damages suffered by Users due to downloading third-party content through the site or accessing third-party websites managed and operated through links on this site
  • Any damages suffered by Users due to unauthorized modification of this site, unauthorized access to site-related data, or the introduction of computer viruses, despite reasonable security measures being taken by the Service
  • Any damages arising from the use or non-use of this site (including but not limited to mental distress or any other financial losses)

Even if the Service is found liable for any damages, such liability shall be limited to cases where the Service has acted with intent or gross negligence and shall only cover direct and ordinary damages.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by Japanese law. In the event of a dispute regarding the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Service's headquarters shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
